Artist Intro | Emily Mae Winters
Fast-rising star on the U.K. Folk/Americana scene, Emily Mae Winters is a singer-songwriter whose voice “stops you in your tracks” (Folk Music Radio).
Heartfelt, dramatic and impassioned, her songs effortlessly navigate the stormy waves of their folk and country influences.
Emily’s self-penned debut album, ‘Siren Serenade’ came out in 2017 to universal critical acclaim, R2 calling it “outstanding, rich and expressive”. One of the record’s standout tracks ‘Anchor’ won Emily the Guardian Songwriting Competition. Produced by Ben Walker, the album was selected in the International Americana Music Show’s top ten albums, featured in American Songwriting Magazine’s reviews of the month, was shortlisted for the Fatea Debut Album of the Year, and won the Best Debut Album of the Year in the Laurel Canyon Music Awards.
Emily Mae’s second album ‘High Romance’ was released on July 19th 2019. Produced by Matt Ingram (Lewis and Leigh, Florence and the Machine, Laura Marling) it features all original songs dealing with a wide range of subjects which all in some way examine the concept of 'Romance’.
