Amazing year for the The Prototypes topped with 3x nominations at the 2021 UK Drum & Bass Awards

Kartel Artist Services client The Prototypes wrap up their biggest year to date with nominations in three categories at the inaugural 2022 Drum and Bass Awards.

Brighton based electronic duo The Prototypes have been nominated in three categories at this year's Drum and Bass Awards. The categories are Best Producer, Best Song for “Reason” and Best Album for their “Ten Thousand Feet and Rising”. The results will be announced on Wednesday 8th December via an online ceremony.

Speaking of the nominations, The Prototypes said; “Against all odds, our self-produced album 'Ten Thousand Feet and Rising' has brought with it our most successful year to date. With 'Reason' (shout out Lowes) hitting the BBC Radio 1 A list and now us being nominated at the DNB Awards, we could not be happier! Thanks to all those who voted for us!

The nominations follow what has been an eventful campaign for The Prototypes. Aside from the aforementioned radio success, “Ten Thousand Feet and Rising” has generated in excess of 12 million streams with editorial support coming from all major streaming platforms. With boat parties, a 24 hour live stream to raise money for the NHS and a crop of remixes along the way. The Prototypes are now in the studio working on new music for 2022.

The Prototypes album “Ten Thousand Feet and Rising” was released on the The Prototypes very own Get Hype label with distribution, label services and marketing support from Kartel Music Group.
