Kartel Expands Into Benelux Region With Key Hires
We are pleased to announce the opening of Kartel offices in both Amsterdam and Brussels, marking the expansion of Kartel services to the Benelux region with both Michel Van Buyten and Roy Pereira joining the growing team.
Founder and CEO of Kartel Music Group, Charles Kirby-Welch is delighted with the expansion of his company to the Benelux: “I could not be more excited about welcoming Michel and Roy to the Kartel team. The combined experience, expertise and shared vision for supporting artists and creative professionals will be of huge value to all of our clients. Since establishing Kartel in 2003 we have strived to be a global business and Europe has been central to our business. As music, technology and creativity underpin a shared cultural relationship between all countries, there simply could not be a better time to expand our business into Belgium and The Netherlands."
Michel Van Buyten, who will co-ordinate the expansion of Kartel in the Benelux alongside his existing artist management activities, is very pleased with the cooperation with Kartel and Pereira: "Our ambition is to play an active role with Kartel Music Group on the local market and to assist Dutch and Belgian acts and their teams with their independent releases. Roy and I are able to bring a wealth of experience to the independent market and have both observed the increasingly local demand for the artist and label services offered by Kartel.“
Roy Pereira (Country Manager The Netherlands): "When I was asked by Charles and Michel to do this, I did not have to think about it for long. Last year I worked as a consultant with independent artists and enjoyed energy from their drive and creative freedom. With the arrival of Kartel, we can focus this energy even more and convert it into successful campaigns. With a great, enthusiastic and experienced team in the UK and Charles as an inspiring leader, we can be a healthy and disruptive alternative in the Benelux for the artists who want to keep their business more in their own hands in 2019."
